Accounts Coordinator - Rehab Responsible for the overall insurance verification/authorization process, and provide clerk-of-the-works support to the Rehabilitation Services department.
Essential functions include:
insurance verifications and prior authorizations; Medicare Part B process tracking; oversight/ monitoring of QI tracking and corrections process; cross-coverage for the Rehabilitation Receptionist position; a variety of clerk/secretarial support roles, department cleaning/maintenance tasks and other duties as assigned by the Rehab Director.
Requirements include:
a minimum of a High School diploma or general education degree (GED); knowledge of medical terminology and insurance terms; computer skills for data entry and word processing; basic math knowledge and ability; effective use of communication tools such as internet, email, telephone; effective communication skills to liaise with physician offices, insurance companies, rehabilitation staff, patients and visitors.
Requires one to three years related experience and training or equivalent combination of education and experience; skills in problem solving, prioritizing and organizing; and have flexibility in regard to hours and back up of receptionist position.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
