CONSTRUCTION INSPECTOR Berkshire Gas is seeking an experienced Construction Inspector to inspect and oversee contractor crews in the construction, operation and maintenance of natural gas distribution systems. They assist with planning and scheduling new construction work, inspections and training activities and ensure work is completed in accordance with construction standards, following safety rules and budgets. Must be results and customer service oriented, possess excellent oral and written communication skills, have self-directed work skills with emphasis on multi-tasking in a changing schedule environment. Strong computer skills, MS Word and Excel, a must. Familiarity with labor agreements, safety manuals, construction standards, procedures and instrumentation, knowledge of industry codes including Hazmat, OSHA and DOT equired. Must have clean valid driver's license and be available after hours for emergency response and critical assignments. High school diploma plus 5 years experience in distribution, construction and maintenance or gas distribution or other construction/engineering related field required. Associates degree in related technology area preferred.
